If you live outside of the Nevada County area, you can work with Dr. Parker for her Functional Medicine virtual program. Dr. Shoshana (Shoshi) London is a licensed acupuncturist and Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a heartfelt commitment to holistic health, and an extensive education in both the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine as well as modern medical sciences. She enjoys utilizing the many modalities in her healing tool-kit to support her patients, including acupuncture, herbalism, dietary support, cupping, gua-sha, and tui na (Chinese medical massage). Dr. Shoshana is a firm believer in the capacity of the human body to heal; she finds joy in supporting others to feel more vital and comfortable in their bodies, and more resilient to face life’s challenges. She is thrilled to join Dr. Jessica Parker and the team at Root and Stem Clinic to provide high quality, compassionate, holistic healthcare to her patients.

Dr. Shoshana’s journey into healing arts is rooted in a rich tapestry of experiences. She entered into her career as a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a background as a certified yoga instructor and a farm-to-table and wild food chef. Additionally, she has studied Thai massage at the Sunshine School in Thailand, and has studied the arts of wild crafting and herbalism from a variety of teachers. Her healing practice is deeply informed by her intimate connection with the earth, whether it be spending time in nature, cultivating food and medicinal herbs in her garden, or giving thanks in reciprocity for the plants she has wildcrafted. She strives to live in harmony with the cycles of the natural world, understanding that our health is intrinsically linked to these rhythms. This philosophy is integrated into her treatment strategy, encouraging patients to achieve balance and harmony by being in connection with nature.

In addition to her healing arts background, Dr. Shoshana embraced the profound journey of motherhood while pursuing her graduate degree to become an acupuncturist. Balancing the roles of a dedicated professional and a mother to a spirited toddler, Shoshi embodies resilience and nurturing care, and has grown her capacity for patience and compassion exponentially.

Driven by a fervent desire to support others on their paths to healing, Dr. Shoshana looks forward to employing her broad spectrum of skills to help her patients achieve vibrant health, and to continue her lifelong dedication to learning, growth, and the healing arts.
